April is known as Military Children’s Month, recognizing the children of military families.
Children between the ages of 6 and 9 were used for special missions, such as delivering letters to other cadets or even carrying secret messages, as their small size allowed them to move around undetected.
To honor them, it was decided that the entire month of April would be dedicated to children, and they also decided to have a special day to honor them: April 15th, when people wear purple.
What is Purple Up! Day?
Purple Up! Day is a day when most people wear purple to thank children for their sacrifice and strength in past wars.
