The hit song Romantic Homicide famously sung by D4vd turned out to be not only lyrics but confessions to first-degree murder charges. Discovered in the singer and songwriter’s Tesla was the decomposing and dismembered body of 14 year old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
With online claims, allegations, and reported statements pointing to Celeste being his underage girlfriend, confirmed evidence shapes their relationship into one of illegal romance. Matching tattoos, endless moments captured together digitally, D4vd’s song releases aligning with the teen’s birthday, Celeste’s mom explaining her daughter had a boyfriend named “David”, and the singer having an unreleased song name Celeste all indicate the two were dating.
After being examined, Celeste’s cause of death was learned to be multiple penetrating injuries caused by a sharp object. Her left ring finger and pinky fingers were missing, rumoured to have something to do with her matching Shhhh tattoos with D4vd. These findings, given the brutal and horrific nature of the killing, mean D4vd is facing life in prison or the possibility of the death penalty after his charges include first degree murder, lying in wait, multation of a body and contious sexual abuse of a child under 14.
“Investigators have physical, forensic and digital evidence proving that when Celeste threatened to publicly expose D4vd for having a sexual relationship with her, D4vd invited her to his home, killed her with a sharp instrument, then cut her body into pieces. All, allegedly to protect his entertainment career.”
Alongside D4vd’s dark inspiration for his music videos. These videos depicted him standing over a lifeless, blood-splattered woman closely resembling Celeste with a knife in his hand; cutting a girl’s arm off; and stuffing a bloodied body into the trunk of a car. The lyrics, “I killed you, and I didn’t even regret it,” tragically became a reality.
Celeste, whose life was sadly cut short, was said to be “a beautiful, strong girl who loved to sing and dance.”
