The bond between humans and animals is very complex; it’s more than just coexistence, but rather a strong connection between them. This bond is so strong that 68% of American households have a pet. They are your life companions.
Animals not only help humans manage stress but also provide mental well-being. Many therapists recommend having pets at home because animals typically help control anxiety and stress levels. Walking your pet often helps reduce stress from that day or even previous days.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter what kind of animal it is; they will always find a way to help you, since one of the goals of animals is to reduce your stress and keep you calm. If you live in an apartment where you can’t have large pets, you can have fish; sometimes watching fish swim can generate a feeling of calm.
Animals are very intelligent because they adapt to each person’s needs, daily routine, and lifestyle. There are different types of animals that help people in different ways; some examples are horses, dogs, cats, birds, and fish.

There are many benefits to living with animals.
- Lower blood pressure
- Allergy prevention for children
- Increased social interaction
- Support for a longer life
