The Tumwater theater program’s production of As You Like It highlights the dedication and creativity behind each performance. Here’s an inside look at the effort students are investing in this upcoming show.
For those unfamiliar, As You Like It is a Shakespearean comedy that promises plenty of laughs and surprises.
Cast member Alex Mykleby (Playing Duke Fredrick) agrees, sharing his excitement for what the audience can expect, saying, “Yes, despite what people may think about Shakespeare being ‘boring’, it’s not boring if done right”.
Alex is correct, and trust me, they are doing it right! The actors and technicians are putting in a lot of work to make this show as amazing as it can be. It’s a shame that the theater program is not really recognized by the students.
Natalie Seaton (Starring as Rosalind) admitted, “It’s kind of sad because we put a lot of effort, and it’s kind of brushed over”.

Nevertheless, Natalie is not letting that ruin her spirit! She is still excited, saying, “…we get to do something we have never done before”. So, everyone planning on seeing the show, be prepared for a beautiful set!
One of my personal favorite parts is rehearsal! You get to interact with others and have fun as a group!

Don’t miss your chance to support these talented students and enjoy a fresh, lively take on a Shakespeare classic. See As You Like It and witness the creativity, effort, and heart that Tumwater Theater brings to the stage.
