Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up! With that, we are rolling into the holiday season. The big question is: which of our beloved holidays is THS students’ favorite? Through a series of polls and student interviews, we asked around and found a common answer to this big question—Christmas or Thanksgiving.
POLL RESULTS
On Wednesday, a poll was posted with the big question: Christmas or Thanksgiving? Eighty percent of the votes were for Christmas, with the remaining twenty percent going to Thanksgiving. After reviewing the poll results, we gathered interviews from your peers to hear their reasons and opinions.
STUDENT INTERVIEWS
For my first interview, I asked Nevaeh Walsh which holiday is her favorite, and she shared, “I like Christmas more because I like the snow and hanging out with my family.”

Bentley Bonfield answered, “I like Christmas better because it’s more festive, the music is better, and I like gifting presents.”
Morgan Wilson gave a very unique response, stating, “I like Christmas more because it’s more nostalgic.”
Sophia Gustafson shared, “Christmas over Thanksgiving, because it’s more fun and I like to celebrate with family and friends, and give them presents because I like to give gifts.”

Noora Mobdy said, “I like Christmas more because I like the Christmas drinks from Starbucks and Dutch Bros.”

Overall, from both the poll and student interviews, Christmas is the most favored holiday among THS students! With Thanksgiving break coming up this week, enjoy your time off—and be ready to return with the Christmas spirit.
