On October 31st, the halls of Tumwater High School
looked a little less like a school and a lot more like a Halloween movie set. Students showed off their creativity with costumes that ranged from spooky to fun.
One of the most talked-about costumes of the day was a tall creature on stilts that seemed to tower over everyone. It was equal parts creepy and impressive. If you were wondering, that was a freshman named Emmett.
There was also a classic witch with a perfectly pointy hat, a haunted doll that could have walked straight out of a horror movie, a few famous duos like Harley Quinn and the Joker, and so many more. If you look through the gallery, you will see all the hard work these people put into their costumes.
Not every costume was spooky, though. Some teachers went for pop-culture looks, like Taylor Swift (Ms. Schaake), while others drew inspiration from fantasy, like King Triton from The Little Mermaid (Mr. Sande). Each outfit added something different to the mix, making the day full of color, laughter, and a little bit of fright.
Overall, Halloween at Tumwater High was a huge success. Whether people dressed to scare or to shine, every costume showed off the imagination and school spirit that make our hallways come alive every October.
