Are you struggling with finding tasty lotus flavors? With countless flavors to try, it can be challenging to find the perfect combination. Students at THS have expertise surrounding lotus drinks, as it’s one of the main kinds of energy drinks students come to school with. After interviewing many students, I took it upon myself to try some combinations to rank and share.

Lucca Anderson, a sophomore, says the fruity pink lotus with huckleberry and peach has been her go-to since it was introduced to her a couple of years ago.
“It was introduced by one of my closest friends; it’s the only thing I’ve ordered for 2 and a half years,” Lucca explains.
Freshman Ava Kivela gets a pink lotus with strawberry, white peach, and cantaloupe, along with a splash of coconut milk. She says it’s her favorite!

Another sophomore, Lauren Aufort, recommended a white lotus with lavender and vanilla. Not just Lauren, but multiple people recommended her combination to me, so I had to try it out.
10th grader Lili Santos gave me a pink lotus with strawberry, guava,

and coconut.
“It’s one of my favorites!” Lili exclaims.
Lili’s lotus was more guava than strawberry, but it mixed well with coconut, and I don’t usually like coconut. It was more sour than sweet, almost like a Jolly Rancher. If you love them, I would get her Jolly-Rancher type drink!

After trying each flavor this week, I finally created my list.

For first place, Ava’s was the best out of the ones I tried. Ava’s was the perfect mix of fruit and milk, so it tasted like a flavorful creamsicle. The cantaloupe is more prominent in the mix, but I can still taste the other flavors well. The strawberry especially mixes well with the coconut milk. It’s also pink. I would recommend it if you like a creamy, fruity drink!
For second place, Lauren’s was definitely near the top. The lavender and the vanilla mixed amazingly. The lavender was the first thing I tasted, but once I tasted the vanilla, it was the perfect blend. I would definitely recommend! It was a light, pretty purple color, almost the exact shade of lavender. I didn’t think I would like it at first, but I did!

For third place, Lili’s lotus was more guava than strawberry, but it mixed well with coconut, and I don’t usually like coconut. It was more sour than sweet, almost like a Jolly Rancher. If you love them, I would get her a Jolly Rancher-like drink!

For fourth place, Lucca takes the space. When I tried Lucca’s lotus, I immediately tasted the peach the most. It was tingy, or really sweet, when it first hit my mouth, but also had a hint of sourness (in a good way) at the aftertaste. I couldn’t taste the huckleberry well; the pink lotus and peach flavors overpowered it. It’s fruity, and it’s also a really pretty pink color! I would recommend Lucca’s if you like a peachy-fruity, tart, spring-like drink.
Each one of their lotuses was really good, so it just comes down to preference. I like more sour, whipped cream-tasting drinks. You might think otherwise.
All of these combinations have prominent differences, so I hope you find one you prefer. Good luck!
